How Do I Reset Understand to the Default Settings? Print

You can reset Understand to its initial Settings by exiting the program and then deleting the configuration file. On Windows you may have to enable “Show Hidden Files and Folders” first. The configuration file can be found in the following location:

Windows – C:\Users\USERID\AppData\Roaming\SciTools\Understand.ini
Linux/Unix – ~/.config/SciTools/Understand.conf
Mac OS X – ~/Library/Preferences/com.scitools.Understand.plist

Mac’s also require that you run the command

killall cfprefsd

after deleting the file. Otherwise it will just be restored from the cached settings.
